Techniques - Constructing garden stands
The poles are laid out to get position

The larch poles were then arranged and concreted in.  Note the various heights.

A landscaping fabric was placed on the ground before the gravel (6mm) was installed to prevent weeds.

The poles are in position Starting to add the gravel

The tops were constructed.  As you can see they are quite substantial and are held together with “blind” dowels. They are treated with the same timber preservative as the poles.

The tops are fixed to the pole with 2 long coach bolts. The holes will be disguised with a dowel insert.
