The owner started to style the tree from a one year old collected seedling. It has been styled from the beginning as an informal upright. The tree was grown in normal compost and shaping was started in early 2004. The tree was further shaped and grown on in 2005. |

The two pictures above show the tree in early February 2006 prior to repotting. The tree was further shaped and wired in the training pot before repotting was attempted. Note there are no green shots. |

The tree in March 2006 after being potted into a rustic Dan Barton pot. At this stage the tree is over potted to aid growing on of the tree so a rock was added. |

October 2006.
During the growing season, the tree has been fertilised with Biogold fertiliser and buds were pinched back to encourage better ramification. This tree is still in the very early stages of it’s development.
