Case history
The tree just after it was purchased in 1998
Design for the future of the tree

Summer 1998
Height 42cm. Spread 90cm.
Soon after this picture was taken the lower left hand branch was removed to expose more of the trunk and the lovely bark.  The branch above will be gradually brought down using guy wires, and further developed.
The right hand “cascade branch” is very flat, despite having been already bent down with wire and a steel rod.  The aim is to bend this branch down further and to refine to whole branch foliage mass into several distinct foliage clouds through careful pruning, wiring and candle pinching.  This process will take several years.
