The bare roots of the tree during repotting
The tree after repotting

In February 2006 the tree was root washed and repotted.  The graft had been gradually pruned back and reduced in length during the previous year.  The roots of both the tree and the graft were in good condition.

Here you can see how well in just one year the graft has fused to the tree. The tree will be grown on now and the graft will continue to be slowly reduced in length, and eventually reduced to the same level as the existing nebari.  This process may take another year.
