This is how the tree started in 1985, as a European Larch seedling by it's previous owner. |

It was then trained into a root-over rock arrangement some years later. |
 |
It was subsequently developed into an informal upright design.
The tree had developed a good trunk and nebari.
It was at this time that the ownership of the tree changed, and it was purchased by the present owner in 1998. |
 |
December 1998. The tree was repotted into a custom Dan Barton primitive pot, in Akadama.
The tree was carefully wired and pruned to further develop the image. |
