| This picture roughly indicates the sort of profile that we are trying to achieve with the individual foliage pads. The arrows indicate which pads need to be wired down slightly. |

In addition to scissor pruning the foliage to profile a number of secondary and tertiary branches needed to be wired so that the foliage could be repositioned to create a better overall pad profile. This work was carried out throughout the day. Compare this view of the tree with the previous full view of the tree to see how the lower pads have been adjusted in profile. The apex of the tree still requires work. |

| Having wired the smaller foliage carrying branches and repositioned the foliage to create better pad profiles a number of main branches needed to be lowered. This was achieved by attaching guy wires to the branches (protecting the bark by threading the wire through plastic tubing), which were then linked down to a lower jinned branch and one of the tree roots. |

Close up view of bottom right hand branch. The plastic tube protected guy wire can be seen at the junction of the secondary branches. |
