The tree after repotting

Purchased from a dealer just after it arrived in the UK in February 2005.
It was then repotted back into a 34 x 13 x 6.5cm Japanese pot using small Akadama and Kiryu as the media.
Height: 19cm.

Close up of dead branches

In April 2005 it was seen that the three small branches on the left side had died.
This could have happened because of repotting, but it would seem more likely that the cork bark was damaged and the sap could not flow up that part of the trunk. The remainder of the tree looks healthy.

The above photos taken on 25th April 2005 show both sides of the tree after the dead branches were cut off.
