This shohin cork bark pine was purchased in February 2004 just after it was imported from Japan.

This photograph shows the tree just before it was repotted.
The repotting media used was 80% small Akadama and 20% Kuryu.

| There was a lot of roots filling the pot completely and ideally this tree should have been repotted in 2007. The roots were cut before repotting as can be seen in the photo on the right. |
