The tree before trimming   The foilage that was cut off
  25th April 2011.
The photo on the left shows the tree before trimming, and on the right is the foilage that was later removed.

3rd July 2011.
The tree has been trimmed several times. After this photo was taken the tree was heavily trimmed and the growth at the top was thinned out.

The fern is removed from the potting media   3rd February 2012.
The tree was repotted at this time.
The fern was grown from a small seedling from another fern and planted in this pot. It is neccesary to trim these ferns at least once a year to keep them in check, and the roots are cut when the tree is repotted, and that is shown in these three photos.

The roots are also cut back this time   The foilage of the fern is also trimmed
