18th June 2010. These photos show the tree before and after it was trimmed.

4th September 2010. These photos of the front of the tree show before and after it was trimmed. The long shoots have been trimmed back many times during the summer months. It would seem that it would have been better to keep the top part of the tree trimmed back further so that the lower branches would have put on more growth. This will be tried next year.

The two photos above show the roots after the tree was removed from the pot.		   Tree after roots were washed

The photo on the right shows the tree after the media had been removed, roots trimmed, and washed.

The tree was repotted in the same pot using 70% Akadama and 30% Kiryu.
