This photo shows the amount of growth that has been put on in four weeks.
Height including pot 75cm.

Front view after cutting

4th June 2008.
The long branches have now been cut so that we can start shaping the tree.
Length of right lower branch: 35cm.
Height including pot: 54cm.
Spread: 49cm.

Close-up of lower right branch This photo is a close-up of the end of the lower branch on the right side looking down from the top. As this branch is on the inner sde of the curve it will need to be removed in due course. It will be left as a sacrificial branch to try to improve the sap flow in this side of the trunk and so encourage new shoots to appear. The wire is 1.5mm diameter.

Close-up of new leader This is a close-up of the leader at the very top of the trunk, and will probably be removed at a later stage as we do not want a high tree.
The main focus point will be the roots over the rock
