The tree when purchased from dealer

This Japanese white beech is shown at the dealers and was purchased January 2006.
It was brought into the country some time ago and was repotted in 2005 in an Derek Aspinall cream glazed oval pot.

These two photos were taken in the third week of January 2006. The leaves were removed and this took 2 hours 10 minutes to do. The height is 66cm, and the spread 67cm.

The roots after they have been washed

February 2006.
The roots have been washed using a hose pipe, and the tree has just been laid in the pot.
In the future a new pot will be purchased that is not as long as the present one.
The tree was then repotted using Akadama and Kiryu, and wired into place.

May 2006. The new leaves have just started to harden off and it needs to be trimmed at this time to keep the shape of the tree and to show off the trunk.
