June 15th 2009. These photos show the tree before and after trimming. There has been quite a lot of growth this year and the tree has been trimmed to allow more growth on the lower branches. When new shoots appeared the tree was layed on it's side to try and encourage more growth on the lower branches. This does cause problems with watering, but every few days the whole pot was submerged in a bucket of water.

9th April 2010.
The tree is now shooting as can be seen on the left.

It will be seen in the photo above that there are shoots all over the exposed roots. These have now been removed.

May 12th 2010. These photos show the tree before and after trimming. The growth so far this year has been very good compared with last year.
