Front view of the tree
Back view of the tree
20th May 2008. These front and back photos were taken just after the new growth had been trimmed.

The flowers at the back of the tree
Close up of one of the flowers
These photos were taken at the same time and the photo on the left shows five groups of flowers. There was some flowers on the tree after it was collected, but these were on branches that were removed. These flowers were on the top of the tree at the back. The photo on the right is a close-up of the flower towards the centre of the other photo.

29th September 2008.
Despite regular feeding during the summer months growth has been very slow this year and this is the same with the other two hawthorns in this collection.

View of the tree in Winter image. The branches look very flat, and it might have been better if the camera had been higher.
Front view of tree in winter image
The tree covered in snow 3rd February 2009.
This was the heaviest snow that we have had this winter, and had melted by the end of the day.
The temperatures have been very cold since Christmas, but the tree has been out most of the time. It is positioned alongside a south facing wall of the house.
