White pine candle pruning

This page shows one of the candles at the top of the tree, and these various photos show the development of the flowers over 29 days. This is one of the longest candles on the tree.

It can be seen on the photo taken 17th May that some of the flowers mature before others on the same candle. On the 25th May the candles were removed, but as the candle was too long it was cut off leaving the small candle shown in the last photo above.
