Kohonoe white pine
Kohone white pine
20th February 2008. These photos show the front and back view of the roots after removing the media and hosing down. This tree was last repotted February 2005.
   

1st March 2008
This photo was taken 10 days after the tree was repotted.

The media used 70% Akadama and 30% Kiryu.

3rd May 2008
The candles are now starting to shoot and the tree is looking very healthy.
The photo above is a close-up of the lower branch on the right.

 

 
   

The photo on the right was also taken on the 3rd May 2008 and shows the crown of the tree.

9th June 2009.
This photo shows the front view of the tree.
Growth with this species is very slow and it has not been trimmed this year.		 Front view of tree
This tree died Spring 2009.
