During the summer the tree was fed three times with BioGold, and about three times with a liquid feed. The tree was wired in June and the wire will be removed in October before it is put into the greenhouse for the winter. This tree was grown in the South of Japan on it's own root stock so is less hardy than those grafted on to Black pine rootstock.
