The tree in Autumn colours. Some of the leaves have fallen off due to strong winds in the last few days.

These photos shows a close-up of the trunk.
For some 18 months the trunk has been shedding its bark as the trunk expanded. When this is happening it is important that the old bark is brushed off regularly with a toothbrush otherwise it becomes very difficult to remove. |

These three photos were taken on 11th December 2007.
The photo on the left which shows how early the buds are opening this year, and these are all over the tree.
The tree was outside until we had frost in mid November and was then moved into the frost free greenhouse where it will remain until the Spring. |
