| The tree was repotted in February 2007. All the old media has been removed and the rootball is getting a final wash down with a hose. |

| In the photographs above the roots have already been cut back, and this photo shows about half the roots that were removed. |

When the tree was originally purchased the roots at the bottom of the trunk were standing out and were in some cases too large.
These are being slowly corrected and we can see one that was cut back at the last repotting two years ago. New roots are already appearing. |

When purchased these roots were standing well clear of the soil and looked ugly.
The bark on the underside of the roots was cut back to encourage new roots. The soil was built up to help with this and it is working as can be seen here. The new roots will hold the soil together.
