Case history - 5

3rd February 2009.
This photo shows the tree after a snowfall, but it had all melted by the late afternoon.

The temperatures have been low since Christmas with many nights of ground frost. The tree has been outside in this position most of the time.

15th June 2009.
Despite the poor growth of the hawthornes last year it has put on a lot of growth this year and was trimmed beginning of June as can be seen here.		 The tree after trimming
   
6th September 2009.
This is the view of the tree in September. Long shoots have been cut back to two shoots as they extended.		 Front view of tree

12th May 2010. There has been good growth this year and these photos show the front of the tree before and after trimming. There has been no flowers this year.
