The large candles have been cut back to 3 or 4 sheaves and the old needles were cut off. The tree has also been wired.
18th June 2010.
The tree has been well fed and it is hoped that there will be more growth than there was last year.
31st August 2010.
The tree has put on more growth this year and the extra feeding will continue next year.
It can be seen in this photo that the tree on the left has needles which are more yellow than the other two trees and looks even more pronounced in real life. This has also happened to five other black pines which I have grown from seed.
